This round features a total metal jacket bullet. Unlike a conventional full metal jacket, the jacket of which by definition isn’t full at all, the TMJ’s jacket additionally encompasses the base of the bullet. That keeps hot propellant gasses from accessing and vaporizing the lead in the core, which means you won’t be breathing the heavy metal in. If you shoot a whole lot, or spend any amount of time developing your skills at an indoor range, a TMJ should keep your lungs in better condition. (Good luck ordering a new set of those online.
This bullet’s balanced core, concentric jacket, and uniform base promote tremendous accuracy. It keeps nearly two thirds of its muzzle velocity at the 500 yard mark too, so you’ll enjoy a flat trajectory with which to sharpen your aim. This round is reloadable courtesy of its new brass casing, and it shoots even cleaner with its non-corrosive primer and modern, smokeless propellant.
