The Arms Corporation of the Phillipines (Armscor) is one of the largest ammo manufacturers and firearms distributors in Southeast Asia. They are well known for producing many U.S. calibers at a high degree of quality while still maintaining affordable prices. Their love and longtime support of the shooting sports led them to create a U.S. branch while expanding their line of ammunition to include popular calibers like .50 Action Express. These rounds are reloader friendly with new brass casings and non-corrosive Boxer primers.
The 300 grain XTP JHPs from Hornady feature precisely cut serrations and a thinner jacket at the top of the bullet which work together to ensure controlled expansion upon impact with the target. This expansion creates large wound channels while the 300 grain projectile dumps a massive amount of energy into the target. That makes these rounds suitable for personal defense as well as for taking deer, hogs, and even some smaller bears at appropriate distance. The 300 grain bullet is heavy for the caliber and offers terminal ballistic advantage while not being too heavy so as to give the shooter an uncontrollable recoil impulse.
