This is an SS201 round. That means it’s designed to give you the same recoil, velocity and overall performance as an SS197SR – without the V-MAX polymer tipped bullet. Instead this round is loaded with a 40 grain full metal jacket, which makes it the far more practical solution for regular everyday target shooting. That’s a lead-core, copper-jacketed FMJ with zero magnetic steel inside of it. The simplest kind of bullet you could enlist for training or plinking!
FN Herstal recorded this round’s 1,700 fps muzzle velocity with a Five-seveN, which has a 4.8” barrel. Its muzzle velocity bumps up to 2,040 fps if it is fired in a PS90 BullPup, which has a 16” barrel – expect similar performance if you’re firing a cool AR-57. Each round in this case of 500 is noncorrosive Boxer primed and has a reloadable brass case.
