This cartridge is loaded with a 30 grain jacketed hollow point. It’s not your conventional lead-core projectile, however. The JHP’s core is made of sintered copper and tin powder, which helps it expand quickly and efficiently (in addition to making it lead-free). The lightweight projectile will attain a muzzle velocity of approximately 1,900 fps when fired from an FN Five-seveN (or 2,240 fps when fired from a PS90, which has a 16.04” barrel). The JHP reliably satisfies the FBI’s test protocol for defensive applications, and will do extremely deadly things to any varmint it lands on as well.
FN Herstal didn’t just perfect the 5.7x28mm cartridge. They invented it. Expect this reloadable brass-cased noncorrosive Boxer-primed ammo to reliably operate any compatible firearm, regardless of whichever company manufactured it. (Primers contain lead styphnate, which is why this ammo isn't completely lead-free.)
