A: Thanks for catching that! I've just updated this ammo's info. And for the record, Magtech's bullets are always nonmagnetic with obvious exceptions like M855 and 50 BMG.

A: Hi Bruce! This ammo is a great choice for any AR-15 chambered for 5.56x45, especially the M&P15. "FMJBT" stands for full metal jacket boat tail. "FMJ" means the bullet has a lead core and copper shell that support smooth feeding and a cleaner barrel, but which prohibit the terminal expansion that's ideal for self-defense. (This round is still very powerful and practical for self-defense, though.) "Boat tail" means the bullet is slightly tapered at its base, which helps it create less drag while it's in flight. A boat tail helps a bullet stay faster and deliver greater energy on impact, especially over greater distances (which is why only rifle bullets have them). "M193" is just the U.S. Armed Forces' designation for the basic ammunition they would issue for field use with the M16 rifle. You can think of it as the "vanilla" 5.56 ammo if you like, the go-to for all your target shooting and range training needs that you could also fall back on for personal protection. Hope this helps!
