Sorry for prefacing with a repeated warning! We just have to make sure you understand this is 5.56x45 M855 ammo. When we last checked, American Quality Ammunition isn’t painting its bullets green to indicate that they contain penetrator cores.
This round’s 62 grain bullet only looks like a conventional full metal jacket. If you sliced it in half lengthwise, you would see that its core is actually made of two different metals: lead in the rear, and steel in the front. Its extremely hard frontal section enables the M855 projectile to penetrate sheet metal fairly easily within ranges up to 660 yards. A barrel twist of 1:8-1:10” is considered ideal for a 62 grain projectile, although any AR-15’s barrel should handle M855 fairly capably over close-to-medium range.
This round’s bullet WILL ATTRACT A MAGNET. Do not order this ammo if your range prohibits “magnetic ammunition.”
American Quality Ammunition 5.56x45 ammo really and truly is manufactured in America (specifically Montana), where it receives the reloadable brass and noncorrosive primers preferred by every shooter under the sun.
