A: Thanks for reaching out James! The Dual Perfomance (aka Controlled Chaos) is made by Lehigh Defense. The TSX is made by Barnes. Black Hills loads both of these projectiles. Both are solid copper hollow point bullets, but their terminal ballistics are different. The Controlled Chaos produces four sharp cutting petals which detach from the bullet to inflict multiple separate wound channels. The TSX also produces four sharp cutting petals, although they are not designed to detach from the bullet. As such, you can expect deeper penetration from the TSX – but even so, the Controlled Chaos is perfectly capable of passing through a medium game animal.

A: Hello again David! I just heard back from my man at Black Hills. He confirmed what I thought: this round's 3,000 fps muzzle velocity was in fact recorded with a 20" test barrel.

A: Yes sir, essentially. This round's 62 grain projectile and 3,000 fps muzzle velocity combine to generate comparable chamber pressure to that of the M855 load.

A: Hello again Cristina! I just heard back from my guy at Black Hills. Like we both suspected, the Dual Performance and the Controlled Chaos are indeed one and the same bullet.
