Winchester left the wheel thoroughly unreinvented when they designed this trusty range load. It’s M193 spec – just like Uncle Sam would give you for free if you joined his Armed Forces – complete with a 55 grain full metal jacket. It’s a steel-free lead-core copper-jacketed projectile: just as incapable of terminal expansion as it is attracting a magnet. (To be clear, it can’t do either of those two things.) But the bullet does resist setback thanks to its cannelure, and its streamlined frontal profile enables it to reach 500 yards with about 47% of its initial velocity still intact.
Noncorrosive Boxer primers. New brass cases. Reloadable, so long as you don’t mind dealing with crimped primers. This ammo’s cases are military grade, which simply means their cosmetic discoloration wasn’t polished away at the factory.
