This ammo isn’t from Russia, surprisingly enough. Floridian importer Tela Impex shipped it in from the Eastern European nation of Azerbaijan. That said, it’s pretty much identical to the kind of materiel you’d expect to get from Russia. Its 65 grain FMJ projectiles have bimetal jackets, which are nearly totally made out of steel (only their exteriors are copper washed). Its cases are also made out of steel (and therefore not reloadable), with noncorrosive Berdan primers to take care of ignition. These components all come together to provide a very cost-effective option for target shooting with any 5.45x39 rifle. And thanks to our zipping shipping, you’ll be shooting targets right soon!
