Pfft. Anyone can go hunting with a rifle. It takes true skill and talent, on the other hand, to bag your buck or boar with a handgun. That’s why the pros stock up on Hornady’s Handgun Hunter label ammo before they take to the woods!

This 460 S&W Magnum cartridge takes care of business with a 200 grain MonoFlex. A solid copper bullet like that creates no aerosolized lead or barrel fouling during ignition, retains as little as 95 percent of its weight throughout penetration to guarantee a deep and effective wound channel, and also keeps toxic lead fragments from tainting fresh, delicious meat.

This monolithic bullet is a hollow point, so it rapidly expands to transfer its energy outward instead of merely in a straight line. (1,286 ft lbs at 100 yards!) Expansion is even more reliable thanks to the supple elastomer that fills the MonoFlex’s nose cavity, which also helps to keep it from getting clogged up by hide and fur.

Hornady completes so awesome a bullet with their premium brass case, non-corrosive primer, and clean burning propellant charge. And while a Handgun Hunter round is for … well, hunting, we can only imagine how quickly a single shot from a revolver loaded with this ammo would end a threat to your safety.
