This round’s bullet is a hard cast, which is specifically designed not to deform. The extremely rigid bullet doesn’t flatten down as it presses through dense flesh, thus enabling it to invest nearly all of its (considerable) energy into deep penetration. If you’re ever trying to put a hole through a one-ton beast’s heart, then you’ll appreciate the hard cast’s capacity for extremely deep penetration.
This round’s hard cast has three key performance enhancing features:
• A flat nose, which inflicts decent damage to soft tissue and helps the bullet penetrate in a straighter line
• A gas check, which forms a seal against the barrel and the base of the bullet so as to secure more efficient ignition
• Black Cherry polymer coating, which reduces friction and fouling inside the barrel (don’t bother tasting it, it’s yucky)
Made in America with tarnish-resistant and reloadable nickel-plated brass cases, as well as Underwood’s famous low-flash propellant. Less light at night means an easier time seeing your target during follow-up shots!
