The 454 Casull was developed in the late 1950s, as a lengthened version of the 45 Colt. There are a number of revolvers available for this caliber, including hand-cannons from Ruger and Taurus. The 454 Casull has become popular as a revolver hunting round and is commonly used in hog hunting and deer hunting. This FMC round can be used for hunting, but it is more geared toward range training. Either way, this is any excellent round no matter what it is used for.
