Developed in 1872 specifically for the United States Army, the 45 Long Colt was immensely popular during its time, and remains in demand today. Although no longer in military or law enforcement service, this massive round is fantastic for cowboy action shooting.

I shot a 98 at 25 yards at my clubs match out of a Ruger model 5032 stock trigger. Nice clean holes in the Paper I could not have asked for more.

Hard lead, shot through a 52 oz peanut can full of water, the two by four directly behind it, and stuck in the face of the two by four directly behind that. Barely deformed the bullet. Shot out of a 4 5/8 inch barreled New Vaquero. A lot of soot on the outside of the cylinder. Brass is decent, but not the quality of Star Line. Basically a loaded round for a little more than the cost of some quality brass, then have some brass to reload.

Averages 890 FPS in my 7.5" Blackhawk; 860 FPS in a S & W model 25. Ragged, one-hole, groups at 15 yards. This is good stuff. Lucky Gunner is a great supplier.

Good Price lots of smoke

Just fired this ammo in my Judge. No misfires but more smoke was produced than other ammo I used. So a little more dirty. The only other thing, one of brass casings got stuck in the cylinder and had to be pushed out. I guess the brass is slightly oversized.
Lucky Gunner is the place to buy ammo. Good pricing, quick deliveries, and they keep their promises!

Use exclusively in my Henry Big Boy. Never had even the slightest problem with this ammo. Accurate enough for anything but competition shooting. I usually buy 500 rounds at a time at about 50 cents per round. I highly recommend Lucky Gunner for all your ammo needs. I have used them for several years and have been very pleased.

I have purchased bulk ammo from your website for a few years now. Never a problem, always a good value.
I don't buy as much ammo anymore since I started reloading but I purchased a Henry Big Boy chambered in 45 Colt. I needed some brass to reload and just for the heck of it I checked your site and found I could buy some ammo from you for just a little more than I could buy the brass for. I purchased 250 rounds and they worked just fine and I have some brass to reload.
