A: Hi Robert! If your revolver has the Uberti 1858 revolver conversion cylinder, which converts a .44 black powder revolver to fire 45 Colt smokeless ammunition, then it should safely fire this ammo.

A: Hello Nickolas! You can indeed fire 45 Colt (aka 45 Long Colt; just a different name for the same exact cartridge) in a 460 S&W Magnum revolver. You can also fire 454 Casull and 45 Schofield.

A: Thanks for reaching out, traditional American technology enthusiast! Like you, I'm inclined to believe that this round's polymer jacketed projectile would not create overpressure or damage the revolver's barrel. That said, I cannot advise contradicting the manufacturer specification: lead bullet, 850 fps max muzzle velocity. I believe your safest bet would be Winchester Cowboy Loads (https://www.luckygunner.com/winchester-45-long-colt-ammo-for-sale-45lc250leadwin-50), or a case of Fiocchi Cowboy Action loads (https://www.luckygunner.com/45-long-colt-250-gr-lrnfp-fiocchi-500-rounds).

A: Thanks for reaching out Greg! Instead of a gilding metal shell, this round's lead bullet is completely surrounded by a tough synthetic substance. The polymer jacket eliminates metal fouling within the barrel, reduces friction to extend barrel life, and reduces (but doesn't eliminate) the risk of splash-back while you're firing on steel targets.
