DO NOT FIRE THIS AMMO IN ANY OTHER FIREARM! If you ask us whether you can fire this ammo in a firearm that isn’t included in the above list, we will say no.
Why is Underwood so particular about which firearm you load this ammo into? Because it is 45 Long Colt +P – loaded to a significantly higher chamber pressure than standard, and much more powerful because of it. This round’s 250 grain bullet actually hits a four-digit muzzle velocity. Still subsonic, but astounding for the 45 Colt nevertheless!
This defense/hunting cartridge is loaded with an eXtreme Terminal Performance jacketed hollow point bullet by Hornady, which uses its drawn, tapered and skived gilding metal jacket to deliver reliably lethal terminal expansion. The XTP’s jacketed rim promotes even more surefire expansion, and also prevents feeding issues in lever guns.
Underwood’s nickel-plated brass cases provide peace of mind if you’re worried about your ammo becoming tarnished in storage or out in the field. Their flash-suppressed powder is potentially lifesaving, as it won’t blind you upon squeezing off your first shot in a dark environment.
