Have you never heard of a “soft cast” bullet before? No worries if you haven’t. It’s extremely uncommon! The idea behind the lead-alloy projectile is fairly simple: reduce smoke production to the greatest degree possible so as to minimize fouling – without making the bullet too hard to expand efficiently as a result. Even if terminal expansion doesn’t take place, the soft cast HP’s profile (which is almost identical to that of a semi-wadcutter) will cut out a wide entry wound and proceed to stamp a nasty channel into soft tissue.
This ammo is loaded with nickel-plated brass cases. They’re reloadable. They create less friction as they rub up against steel. Nickel also protects the brass from tarnishing once it is exposed to moisture, leather, and even other metals. Underwood’s flash-suppressed powder completes the perfect ammo for 45 Colt EDC!
