Corbon unlocks the full potential of the .45 ACP with this high pressure (+P) load designed for self-defense use. Each cartridge in this box of 20 fires a medium weight 200 grain jacketed hollow point bullet at a high muzzle velocity of 1,050 feet per second. This unusually high velocity for a .45 Auto cartridge helps the projectile deliver more reliable expansion and shores up what is arguably the .45's most notable shortcoming, over-penetration. The only catch is heavier recoil--a disadvantage that full-sized pistols like the 1911 are relatively well equipped to handle.

This ammo is designated +P and should not be used in firearms not capable of handling the added pressure. This usually includes older firearms and subcompact carry pistols.

Known for manufacturing "hot" ammo with high power levels and recoil, Corbon is based in Sturgis, South Dakota and offers a cost-effective carry load with their Self-Defense series. These cartridges use a serrated-jacket hollow point that is effective in terms of both cost and ballistics. Each round produces mushrooming to roughly twice the bullet's original diameter, as well as penetration of up to 15 inches.

These cartridges use non-corrosive Boxer primers and brass cases.
