Bulk up on .45 ACP ammo the smart way with these all-in-one rounds from Federal's "Train + Protect" brand. This ammunition, newly introduced in 2017, is built using proven quality control methods, multi-purpose projectiles, and consistent ignition materials in order to offer shooters a pistol shooting choice for defense as well as range work. Federal Premium is able to manufacture rounds like these due to nearly 95 years of experience during which they have earned a reputation for dependable ammo among hunting clubs, law enforcement agencies, and competitive shooting teams.

Each of these rounds is built upon a brass casing that can be cleaned and reloaded after firing and recovery. The case has a non-corrosive Boxer primer attached at its base and a versatile hollowpoint (VHP) bullet crimped in at its nose. The VHP projectile is designed with a curved ogive for seamless feeding along with a wide-mouth cavity for dependable expansion during entry into a target. The rapid change in geometry causes the bullet to yaw and deposit the bulk of its energy into vital areas and nerve centers in an effort to yield a quicker drop. At 230 grains, the bullet follows traditional .45 Auto ballistics for compatibility with a multitude of available loads.
