Naturally, this is precisely the kind of ammo you would want for a 1911 – but it’s just as suitable for any 45 ACP firearm which John Moses Browning had no hand in designing. Each cartridge features a uniform full metal jacket projectile, with the smooth feeding solid point round nose profile that enhances functionality in all semi-automatics.
This round’s bullet is nonmagnetic, but it is also non-expanding. Our troops are obligated to use FMJ bullets during international warfare, but you’ll have better odds if you save FMJ ammo for the range and take JHP ammo with you for personal protection.
This ammo’s non-corrosive Boxer primers and clean-burning powder ignite to give its 230 grain bullets a muzzle velocity of 835 fps (aka exactly what a 1911 likes). Winchester’s freshly minted brass cases are reloadable. The American Legend donates part of their proceeds from this range and target ammo to Folds of Honor, a scholarship foundation for family members of hero service members.
