This VOR-TX brand cartridge by Barnes of Utah features the 185 grain TAC-XP bullet. It is made of pure copper, so it cannot deposit lead fouling in the barrel to weaken accuracy. Copper is also a lot tougher than lead, which gives the TAC-XP the resilience it needs to pass through barriers unscathed before anchoring itself deeply within the target’s soft tissue. The monolithic TAC-XP is also acceptable for hunting wherever traditional lead bullets are banned!
Barrier-blind performance and deep penetration aren’t the only reasons you want the TAC-XP on your side during a fight. This high-weight retention solid copper hollow point dumps crippling energy into its target as it expands within, carving out a wide and debilitating wound cavity in the process. Add in the 45 ACP’s already wide bullet diameter, and you can easily appreciate that this round means business.
Barnes loads their lead-free nonmagnetic bullet in a pure brass case with a high-quality primer and powder charge. If you’re a 1911 fan, you’re going to want to get a load of this ammo!
