Bring down your quarry with the full power of the government – sort of! Federal Premium’s Power-Shok line of ammunition always represents an accessibly priced solution for the great American pastime of huntin’, and this 45-70 Government ammo ought to deliver the thunder out of any rifle or revolver that can chamber it!

This round’s bullet is a soft point – specifically a flat nose soft point that will sit safely when it’s part of a line of rounds in a lever gun’s tube mag. The SP’s flat nose stamps a wide hole into its target, and proceeds to flatten out as it maximizes energy transfer and wound column diameter. Effective. Deadly. Classic terminal ballistics that have served American frontiersmen well for decades!

This round’s bullet is light for its caliber. At 300 grains, the bullet is due to race out of a 24” barrel at a velocity of 1,850 fps. It’d bold to label any 45-70 load’s trajectory as “flat,” although the 0.289 G1 BC bullet is able to soar past a 200-yard zero and then drop about 24” once it reaches 300. Striking energy exceeds 1,000 ft lbs at any point within 300 yards.

Reloadable brass cases? Yes indeedy do.
