This 44 Special ammo is made for self-defense. It’s not intended for threats that carry bats, knives and hammers, however. It’s meant for threats that are naturally armed with teeth, claws and tusks.

This round’s bullet is a 245 grain full metal jacket flat nose. It’s an unsophisticated design: lead core, copper jacket, aforementioned flat nose, and naught else to speak of. Why, you might just decide to only use the FMJ FN for target practice and still be plenty pleased with its performance. But if you ever encounter a rude hog or bear, you’ll appreciate the FMJ FN’s ability to stamp out a deep and harmful wound column. (Do take care, as this round’s bullet is pretty much guaranteed to pass through a human threat.)

You want 44 Spl with shiny nickel-plated brass cases? Whether you want them for their corrosion resistance, smooth extraction, or both, you’ll get your fix from Underwood. These cartridges will really step up if you ever have to light up a bad critter in the dark. Their low-flash propellant helps eyes stay adjusted to the dark!
