A hard cast bullet is … well, it’s hard. It’s much harder than regular lead because it’s alloyed with other metals like tin and antimony. This prevents the bullet from widening out as it plunges through soft tissue, which ultimately helps a relatively weak (by modern standards) revolver cartridge access the target’s vitals.
The wadcutter has the simplest shape possible for a bullet. It’s a cylinder. Its flat nose profile punches out the most harmful entry wound possible, and it continues to cut a 0.429” diameter hole into the target. The bullet is coated in Black Cherry: a proprietary polymer which minimizes friction and fouling, and which doesn’t give off a smell like burnt soda pop bottles under ignition.
Underwood’s nickel-plated brass cases reduce friction as well, which helps a lever gun operate more reliably and facilitates cylinder extraction to boot. Underwood’s low-flash propellant will help you in dim or dark environments. A subdued muzzle flash won’t force your eyes to de-acclimate to the dark!
