This round’s 247 grain lead round nose bullet would have fit right in back during the 1870s. It doesn’t wear a copper-alloy jacket, and accordingly poses a reduced risk of splash-back when it collides with a steel target or other hard surface. Just what a cowboy needs while he’s getting up close and personal with his silhouettes.
This ammunition is loaded in Missouri (i.e. not Russia) with all new components, including the noncorrosive Boxer primers and brass cases it needs in order to be handloaded. Fiocchi’s propellant is much better than anything Ulysses S. Grant might have fired. The double base powder is formulated to deliver reduced recoil and consistent velocities at high and cold temperatures alike!
