Pound for pound, the honey badger is the meanest animal around. If it weighed as much as a polar bear instead of 20 pounds, it would treat the polar bear like an oversized squeaky toy. So there’s little wonder why Black Hills Ammunition named their solid copper self-defense bullet after the HoneyBadger – they both pack immense power into a little package.

This 44 Magnum cartridge features the 160 grain HoneyBadger. The bullet is machined from solid copper, so it has no jacket and core that could separate from one another. A bullet that retains 100 percent of its weight is able to penetrate as deeply as possible. The HoneyBadger is also without a nose cavity, so it can’t jam up with fabric or any other material it must penetrate en route to its target.

The HoneyBadger doesn’t need a nose cavity, because it doesn’t need to expand to wreak absolute destruction inside of soft tissue. Its nose profile is shaped like a drill bit, and the flutes machined into its tip actively scoop up whatever soft tissues they come into contact with. They instantaneously jet them outward, which produces a chasming wound cavity that spells lights out for the target.

Black Hills is based in the great state of South Dakota. They load premium brass, primers and propellant to make some of our country’s best ammo. You can trust this 44 Mag for personal protection and hunting alike!
