This round is loaded with a 240 grain semi-jacketed hollow point bullet. This is a 44 Mag, so it absolutely pounds a close-range target with well over 875 ft lbs of energy. The bullet’s nose cavity fills with pressurized soft tissue to supply wide terminal expansion, thus transferring more of its energy outward where it can inflict even greater damage. But even if the SJHP bullet strikes its target with too little energy to commence mushrooming, its flat nose profile is going to gouge quite the nasty wound channel into the threat or quarry.
Fiocchi is an old Italian ammo manufacturer. They exclusively load nonmagnetic range compliant projectiles, non-corrosive Boxer primers, and the kind of brass handloaders relish getting their hands on. Need ammo for your 44 Mag lever-action rifle? This ammo’s bullets are safe for a tubular magazine!
