This round is furnished with the 44 Mag’s classic 240 grain projectile, and has a normal-for-weight 1,180 fps muzzle velocity. The jacketed soft point operates on a pretty simple principle. In addition to limiting barrel fouling, its partial copper sheathe enables the bullet to remain more intact during high-velocity impact. That helps it conserve more weight, penetrate more deeply, and inflict more damage. At the same time, the JSP’s lead core flattens out so as to transfer more energy outward whilst inflicting a wider wound cavity.
No threat is going to remain threatening once it has taken one of these rounds to its center of mass. Likewise, every hog or deer should live in fear of the power of an HTP load. This ammo’s Kleanbore primers are deserving of their moniker, and its virgin brass cases are straight, strong and reloadable. Made in Arkansas – the Woo Pig Sooie State!
