A: Hello Warren! Just heard back from PMC. They recorded this round's muzzle velocity with a 8.275" test barrel.

A: Thanks for reaching out Michael! Assuming your M1984 is indeed chambered for 44 Magnum, then this ammo will function safely for it. The TCSP's nose profile makes it safe to load in a tubular magazine.

A: Thanks for reaching out Gary! That rifle will only accept 44-40 Winchester ammunition, which is also known as 44-40, 44 Winchester, and 44 WCF. I regret that we haven't got the ammo you need in stock at the moment, but we do update our inventory frequently. I hope you'll check back in again soon!

A: Thanks for reaching out Greg! This is exactly the bullet profile you'd want for a lever-action – nice and flat, and a hollow point at that, which is incapable of striking the primer like you are correctly concerned about.
Just to be sure, though, is your Model 1892 chambered for 44 Magnum and not 44-40 Winchester? Some folks confuse the two different rounds, and I just want to make sure you're ordering the right ammo.

A: Without knowing anything about your rifle, we would say this ammo is appropriate for a lever-action. No part of the bullet's meplat looks as though it would touch the primer in front of it.
