RAWRRR … *crunch crunch crunch*
According to a recent study, 9 out of 10 Americans will have their heads eaten by bears at some point during their lifetime.* Don’t become a statistic! Arm yourself with the power of Grizzly!
This cartridge is loaded with a full metal jacket flat nose projectile. Unlike a conventional self-defense bullet, the FMJ FP is not designed for terminal expansion. That’s a plus when you’re trying to put down a bear, as expansion can cause the bullet to anchor itself in flesh before it reaches the animal’s vital organs. In other words, the tough FMJ FP puts all its chips on penetration depth. You’ll still have to aim for the brute’s weak point, but you’ll have a much better chance at survival than if you had tried putting up your dukes.
This isn’t an overpressure cartridge that utilizes an above-standard chamber pressure to launch its bullet abnormally fast. Its 200 grain projectile and 1,000 fps muzzle velocity shouldn’t be too much for any 40 S&W firearm to handle (assuming said firearm is in proper working condition).
This ammo is not intended for defense against big bears. It’s a sound pick for taking hogs and other smaller game. Grizzly Cartridge Company manufactures ammunition in the great state of Oregon using all-new components, including reloadable brass.
