This 40 S&W cartridge from Federal’s Syntech Training Match label nearly perfectly emulates the recoil and ballistic performance of Federal’s analogous Personal Defense HST and Tactical HST loads. Practicing with it is just like practicing with costlier ammo, so you can hone your self-defense chops without whittling away at your savings.

This round’s 180 grain bullet features the cutting edge Total Synthetic Jacket (TSJ). It’s purple to help you easily distinguish it from your conventional FMJ loads, but that’s not what makes it truly special. The polymer jacketed bullet does away with copper fouling entirely, and further protects its shooter from dangerous splash-back. The TSJ even reduces friction within a pistol’s barrel, lengthening its lifespan substantially!

This is a great round for indoor training. The TSJ covers its bullet’s core to prevent lead evaporation during ignition. Its Catalyst primer also contains no lead, so you can breathe easy wherever ventilation might leave something to be desired.
