Additional Resources
This round features Remington’s distinctive brass jacketed hollow point. The 180 grain BJHP’s brass jacket is exceptionally hard, and furthermore hot bonded to its solid lead core. These two attributes make the bullet especially resilient, thus assuring it retains all the momentum it needs to sink deeply into its target. The high weight retention bullet also needs relatively less energy to expand to its full potential, so it still effectively neutralizes a threat over longer distances or after having penetrated a barrier.
The BJHP additionally features a narrow nose diameter. This enables it to align precisely with the bore, which in turn promotes the optimal rotational stability which match-grade accuracy cannot exist without. The state-of-the-art bullet is seated in a corrosion resistant nickel-plated brass case, which diminishes metal-on-metal friction that could have caused a very poorly timed FTF or FTE.
