Speer’s Lawman isn’t just high grade target ammunition. It’s also ballistically matched to the Idaho manufacturer’s prized Gold Dot ammo, and thus an excellent way to familiarize yourself with your personal protection loads without crushing your wallet for the privilege.

This 40 S&W cartridge is rigged out with a 165 grain total metal jacket bullet. Like an FMJ it feeds reliably and averts barrel leading, and its flat nose profile creates a cleaner hole through paper. Unlike an FMJ, the TMJ’s one-piece jacket extends to shield the lead in the base of the bullet’s core. This keeps the blistering heat of propellant gasses from impacting the bullet’s accuracy, and furthermore keeps the air in an indoor range from quickly clouding with toxic lead!

This round’s new brass casing has been drawn and cut to precise tolerances, so you can count on it to perform splendidly even after you have reloaded it. Expect consistent chamber pressures and muzzle velocities the first time you fire this training ammo, as Lawman cartridges receive highly consistent primers and propellant when they’re made right here in America.
