You may fire the XPB wherever lead bullets are banned. The XPB is a monolithic bullet, with a solid copper body instead of a lead core and jacket. The non-toxic bullet decelerates fouling of the barrel, and its balanced weight distribution promotes greater accuracy.
Copper is a very malleable and ductile metal. The XPB penetrates to a consistent depth because of this, as it avoids losing momentum as the result of fracturing apart after impact. The hollow point XPB fans out six rectangular surfaces during penetration, each of which rakes two angular corners against any soft tissue it touches. The XPB is designed to double in diameter – an 0.8 inch would channel is serious business, especially when placed through the threat’s center of mass.
Barnes is based in Utah. They were founded in 1986 (though their founder began selling bullets out of his basement in 1932), and they have always specialized in producing solid copper bullets. Today Barnes is owned by Sierra. Their loaded ammunition is high-quality, with the reloadable brass and dependable explosives you should expect from a reputable American manufacturer.
