This .40 Smith & Wesson ammunition from G2 Research's RIP series is designed for effective self defense without some of the drawbacks associated with conventional .40 S&W ammo. These cartridges fire bullets with multiple solid copper spines or "trocars" to provide strong fragmentation without heavy recoil or risk of overpenetration.
Each cartridge in this box of 20 fires a 115 grain bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,095 feet per second. Compared to other .40 Smith & Wesson ammo, G2 RIP cartridges produce relatively mild recoil due to the low weight of the trocar bearing bullet, enabling a faster rate of aimed fire and removing much of the snappiness for which this caliber is notorious. This ammo is lead-free.
G2 Research is based in Winder, Georgia and is dedicated to the development of quality ammo using advanced solid copper bullet designs. Their products use quality components including non corrosive Boxer primers and brass cases.
