A: Hello Becca! This ammunition should function just fine in your Sig P238. Bullet weights for 380 ACP are usually 85, 90 or 95 grains, which places this round's JHP at dead average. Some folks recommend heavier 100+ grain bullets for self-defense, reasoning that the heavier bullet's higher momentum promotes deeper penetration. There is truth to that, although a 90 grain JHP will serve its purpose effectively with good shot placement.

A: Thanks for reaching out Alison! JHP ammo is nearly always priced higher than the FMJ ammo you might be accustomed to seeing. Its bullet is more complicated, as the JHP is designed to expand inside of soft tissue rather than merely penetrate it. You don't want to use FMJ ammo for personal protection. Corbon is one of America's best manufacturers, and ammo prices are still higher than usual in light of the pandemic, last year's civil unrest, and an administration that has stated its goal to illegalize online ammuinition sales.

A: Thanks for reaching out! This isn't +P ammunition. Ammo manufacturers are always super clear about labeling their +P ammo, so I don't think you'd have an easy time ordering it by accident.

A: Thank you for reaching out John! You're correct – the EZ is not designed to safely fire 380 Auto +P. That said, this isn't overpressure ammo, nor is its 1,050 fps muzzle velocity unusual given its 90 grain bullet. I've reached out to S&W just to confirm that this ammo is indeed suitable for your handgun, although I'm already certain it is. I hope this helps!
