A: Thanks for reaching out Leah! Recoil energy is the product of four factors: bullet weight, propellant weight, firearm weight and muzzle velocity. For the sake of comparison, let's reasonably assume this cartridge is loaded with 3.5 grains of propellant and that we are firing a Glock 42 (13.76 oz with empty magazine). Under those conditions we could expect this cartridge to generate 3.34 ft lbs of recoil energy. In contrast, a conventional 380 round with a 95gr bullet and 950 fps muzzle velocity would have a recoil energy of 4.28 ft lbs; 90gr bullet and 1,000 fps muzzle velocity, 4.26 ft lbs. Please be sure that these are all approximate estimations, but the takeaway is that you can rightly anticipate slightly gentler recoil from this particular ammo (although I cannot guarantee you will notice a significant difference).

A: Hi Ernest. According to Federal, their lead free ammo is made from a copper material. Have a great day.
