THIS IS NOT 38 SPECIAL AMMUNITION! It will not work in a 38 Special or 357 Magnum firearm. Attempting to fire this ammo in a revolver will result in you feeling like a dweeb who doesn’t know enough about guns.

Looking for hard-to-find 38 Super (aka 38 Super +P, which is the same thing) ammunition? Turns out it’s not that hard to find after all! We’re flush with Underwood’s fine defensive cartridges, and we’re shipping it faster than you might think is possible.

This cartridge is loaded with a jacketed hollow point projectile: lead core, copper-alloy jacket. The JHP functions in the conventional fashion, and sports multiple notches around its rim to promote faster, wider expansion at lower velocities.

Underwood gives their ammo a couple of extra touches that are especially helpful during a defensive scenario. These rounds’ nickel-plated brass cases are reloadable, but also smoother than usual to promote more reliable functionality in a 1911 or other semi-auto. Their propellant charges are also formulated to produce a dull flash. Less light equals less vision loss while you’re shooting at night. That’s potentially lifesaving!
