A: Thanks for reaching out Martin! The S&W Model 32 Terrier is a 38 S&W pistol. The 38 Special Short cartridge is indeed shorter, as its name implies, but its bullet is still too narrow in diameter (.357 in) to be compatible with a 38 S&W pistol's bore (.361 in). The 38 Special cartridge itself is too wide to fit in a 38 S&W chamber as well. In short, even the shorter variant of the 38 Special is incompatible with a 38 S&W revolver.
I'm sorry to say that we haven't got any 38 S&W ammo in stock at the moment. We do update our inventory frequently, so I hope you'll check back in again soon!

A: Thanks for reaching out James. Please don't try this ammo in your firearm!
This ammo is a short 38 Special cartridge. I believe your weapon is chambered for 38 Short Colt, which has slightly different case dimensions than a 38 Special. You can fire 38 Short Colt in a weapon chambered for 38 Special, although accuracy will be very poor. You can not fire 38 Special in a weapon chambered for 38 Short Colt, however. Even a short 38 Special like this is likely to create too much pressure for your 38 Short Colt firearm to handle. I regret that we do not currently have any 38 Short Colt ammo in stock.

A: Yes sir, this 38 Special Short round should function correctly in any 38 Special or 357 Magnum revolver. I would advise against trying to use it in a lever-action rifle, however, as its reduced overall length would very likely cause feeding issues.

A: Sadly no. They are 2 wholly different calibers, and not interchangeable.
