These .38 Special cartridges are ideal training ammo for anyone who carries a .38 SPL or .357 MAgnum revolver privately or on duty! Speer's Clean-Fire line of ammunition is especially intended to provide shooters with a healthy experience during extended sessions at indoor ranges. In order to accomplish this, each round is constructed using a reloadable brass casing fitted with a non-corrosive Boxer primer and clean-burning propellant. The chemicals involved in these components leave behind zero mercury or heavy metals which could be inhaled by the shooter to ill effect.

Each Cleanfire round fires a 158-grain total metal jacket (TMJ) projectile which is fully encapsulated by its copper jacket; this virtually eliminates lead fouling and results in cleaner air and firearms. 158 grains is a common weight for the .38 caliber. This ammo uses a +P charge to in order to produce recoil and ballistics similar to that of a defensive round. The bullet has a round ogive for easy cylinder insertion and a flat nose which makes highly visible circular holes in paper targets. Speer, a sister company to CCI, has been well known for quality bullets and ammunition since the 1950s.
