Its higher-than-standard chamber pressure enables the 130 grain bullet to hit 5 yards with just shy of 260 ft lbs of kinetic energy. Not massive in the grand scheme of things, but certainly enough to get the job done in one shot (so long as the shot was aimed well). This ammo is not intended for firearms that aren’t rated for +P.
This round’s jacketed hollow point is notched and bonded, which promotes wider expansion and deeper penetration, respectively. Under optimal conditions, the bonded JHP will increase in diameter by 1.5X before it stops moving. That’s a guaranteed ouchie for the threat, no doubt about it.
Nickel-plated brass cases? A Lucky Gunner customer deserves no less. They withstand exposure to moisture, leather and other metals without tarnishing, and they also speed up loading and ejection a bit. Reloadable, too!
