A: Before firing +P ammo in any firearm, I would recommend checking the owners manual or contacting the manufacturer.
Not all weapons can safely handle +P ammo. Even though this a +P 38 load in a 357 Magnum weapon, one must always exercise great caution with firearms.

A: This +P indicates the rounds are loaded to a higher pressure than the standard specifications for this round. This will increase velocity, penetration on impact, as well as recoil. +P rounds are designed for carry use more than target practice. Some firearm manufacturers advise against the use of +P ammo, though limited use in any modern gun should not cause any harm.
