This round’s 148 grain bullet is shaped like a cylinder. Its flat nose punches a nearly perfect circle into a target, which means you’ll know *exactly* where your shot landed. Perfect if you’re scoring your shots. The hollow base of the all-lead bullet serves two purposes: It allows the base to expand to fit the bore, which creates more efficient ignition, and it places the bullet’s center of gravity forward to enhance aerodynamic stability. They’re not *enormous* advantages, but they’re nice to have all the same.
Fire this ammo in a 357 Magnum revolver if you’re looking for a lower-recoil option for target practice. Heck, even a 38 Special revolver will exhibit lower recoil thanks to this round’s fairly tepid 710 fps muzzle velocity. So long as your lever gun can cycle empty 38 Special shells, then it should have zero issue with this ammo. New brass cases; reloadable.
