A: Thanks for reaching out John! This ammo should indeed function correctly in both of your revolvers. Greater striking energy out of your 3" barrel, but that's only to be expected.

A: Yes sir! Exact same bullet. Only the propellant charge is different.

A: Hello Jan! This ammo should function perfectly in your LCR. In all honesty 125 grains is not an especially heavy bullet for a 38 Special cartridge, and Speer Gold Dot ammo is top quality. This ammo would make a great choice for self-defense with your revolver.

A: Without question! Although a snubnose might not give this round's bullet its listed 865 fps muzzle velocity, the Gold Dot bullet reliably expands over a wide range of velocities.

A: Speer measured this cartridge's 865 fps muzzle velocity out of a four inch barrel. At that velocity, the bullet packs a muzzle energy of 208 ft lbs.
Unfortunately there is no available formula that would let me calculate this round's muzzle velocity out of a shorter two inch barrel. I'm afrad you'd need a ballistic chronograph to arrive at an exact figure. Best I can tell you is that the muzzle velocity will be slower!

A: This 38 Special cartridge is not +P and should function correctly in any weapon chambered for it, including older revolvers
