A: Thanks for reaching out Lou! The product description describes pretty well what a frangible bullet is: a solid made out of compressed metal powders, which will disintegrate into particles and fragments when it collides with a hard surface at high velocity. It's especially good for shooting steel targets at short range, because a frangible bullet virtually eliminates ricochet and splash-back. A frangible bullet is pretty much incomparable to any other type of bullet, but I suppose it behaves somewhat like a snowball when it hits a solid surfase! This ammo should function correctly in any 38 Special firearm.

A: Thanks for reaching out Warren! You know, I have a Double Tap derringer, and they specifically warn not to fire frangible ammo in it. I'm less familiar with Bond Arms firearms, so please let me reach out to them on your behalf. I'll update this comment when I hear back from them.
UPDATE! Just heard back from Bond Arms. Here's what they say: I've checked with our technicians and they believe that ammo is good to use. It is within our suggested grain weight, we have never used it personally, but our techs believe your customer should be fine using it.

A: Thanks for reaching out Robbie! SinterFire is still in business, though they're super busy at the moment and not really set up for commercial sales. I do have a contact there, so I'll reach out to him directly and see if I can't get that ballistic data for you.

A: Thanks for reaching out Jeff! I haven't confirmed this ammo's muzzle velocity yet, though I do understand it's not loaded to generate less recoil energy than normal. This is the only 38 Special we have in stock at the moment or I'd recommend something else for you. I expect to have some lower recoil self-defense ammo in stock shortly, and we update our inventoty often, so I hope you'll check back in again soon!
