A: Thanks for reaching out Paul! I referred your question to Black Hills Ammunition. Here is what they said:
Per company policy: if the firearm was made as a black powder gun we must advise not to use our smokeless powder ammunition in it. That said, the changeover was going on right about the time this gun was made so the best way to know if it is a smokeless gun is that the barrel may say nickel steel somewhere around where the manufacturers name and caliber would be. If it’s not there I wouldn’t fire our ammo in it.

A: If your Henry is chambered for 357 Magnum, you can fire either 357 Magnum or 38 Special ammo in it. I'm afraid that thanks to the ammo drought we currently have neither in stock. The ammo on this page will not work in your Henry!

A: No sir! This is 38-40 Winchester, a totally separate cartridge. Please don't order this ammo if you haven't got the lever-action rifle or revolver to fire it!
