The DGX Bonded is essentially a hyper-durable soft point flat nose bullet. It features a 0.098” thick copper-clad steel jacket which is welded to its dense lead core. The DGX Bonded’s cannelure additionally mechanically locks its core and jacket tightly together. When the DGX Bonded connects with large game at high velocity, it retains all the weight it needs to crash through hide, bone and muscle and continue all the way to the well-protected vital organs.
Whereas Hornady’s DGS bullet puts all its chips on deep penetration, the DGX Bonded expands to track an even wider wound channel than its 0.376” diameter could account for on its own. The DGX Bonded’s serrated sections enable the bullet to expand 1.5 to 2 times its original diameter following impact at 100 to 150 yards!
