If you invented a certain type of pie, you’d never permit yourself to bake a poor example of it. The same logic applies to this range ammo by SIG Sauer. Not to suggest that the German manufacturer ever takes a day off, but when they make ammo of their own creation that incidentally shares their name, they quite rightly make sure it works.

This 357 Sig cartridge is loaded with a standard 125 grain projectile. Loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,256 fps with 506 ft lbs of energy to exert upon leaving the barrel, its recoil, point of aim, and trajectory virtually perfectly emulate what you should expect of SIG’s analogous V-Crown self-defense ammo. Still, whatever type of 357 Sig ammo you bank on for self-defense, you’ll find this ammo an ideal selection for training with your carry weapon. As an FMJ this round’s projectile doesn’t do anything fancier than feed smoothly and fly straight, but that’s exactly what you want from your target shooting bullet.

These rounds’ copper jacketed bullets are seated at a consistent depth within their sterling new production bottlenecked brass cases. SIG’s habitual attention attention to detail demands that they give each of their rounds a high quality non-corrosive primer and uniform charge of clean burning propellant. All in all a splendid choice for training with your duty or carry weapon.
