This .357 Magnum ammunition from Corbon is an excellent self-defense load for revolvers or carbines. As part of the Powrball series, these cartridges fire a hollow point bullet with a polymer ball emplaced at the front. Powrball bullets were designed by Peter Pi, Sr., the owner of Corbon, in 2004.

The ball provides smooth feeding in magazine-fed guns and is safe for tubular magazines; upon contact with the target, it helps push the rest of the projectile outward into the desired "mushroom" shape for maximum stopping power. In addition, the ball keeps heavy clothing or other material between the gun and the attacker from clogging the expansion cavity and reducing its effectiveness.

Each cartridge in this box of 20 fires a 100 grain version of the Powrball at a muzzle velocity of 1,450 feet per second; the light bullet helps keep recoil to a manageable level. Like other Corbon products, it is made in Sturgis, South Dakota using non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases.
