Mission accomplished. Because it is made of resilient copper – and because it also lacks a core and jacket that could have separated from one another – the SCHP consistently penetrates ballistic gelatin (and by extension soft tissue) to a depth of 12”. The SCHP handily defeats barriers as well.
But the bullet doesn’t merely expand as its nose cavity gets packed full of pressurized tissue. It also fragments, creating a roughly 3.5” wide area of effect inside of its target in the process. That means a massive temporary wound cavity accompanied by debilitating hydrostatic shock. To put it bluntly, you don’t want to get hit by this round’s bullet!
This round’s exceptionally high muzzle velocity is largely the product of its unusually lightweight bullet. It does not generate an abnormal amount of chamber pressure, and it’s even safe for antique firearms. This ammo additionally produces 57% to 86% less recoil than a traditional 357 self-defense load!
This ammo is loaded with corrosion resistant nickel-plated brass cases, which have the additional effect of sliding in and out of chambers more efficiently. Made in the USA!
