You’re walking to your shed, when all of a sudden – BAM – black bear.
You’re taking out the trash, when all of a sudden – BOOF – mountain lion.
You’re mowing the lawn, when all of a sudden – KERPOW – brown bear.
Thank goodness you had the good sense to carry your 357 Magnum revolver loaded with Federal Solid Core ammunition. BANG! BANG! BANG! You dispatch all aggressive animal threats one after the other thanks to the power of premium Minnesota-made hard cast ammo.

That’s right: hard cast. This round’s bullet is primarily made of lead, but it contains so much antimony that it’s way too hard to expand or otherwise deform. This enables the bullet to invest all of its energy into pressing as deep into its target as possible. The bullet’s flat nose profile punches a pretty harmful wound into the beast, even without expansion, and its synthetic jacket essentially eliminates lead fouling of the barrel. The bullet’s high-tech polymer coating also serves the same function as a gas check: i.e. the promotion of more efficient ignition, which translates to higher muzzle velocity and deadlier striking energy!

Nickel-plated brass cases sweeten the whole affair even further. They slide in and out of a chamber real smoothly. They also resist corrosion better than brass, and they’re reloadable too!
